DEPLOYMENT
Continuously demonstrate functionality
Step Three: Rapid Deployment - Continuously demonstrate functionality
Step 3A: Develop Project Plan with Expected Deliveries
Develop first draft project plan that successively delivers functionality with the following priorities:
Highest risk areas developed and delivered first to give maximum time for any needed iterations based on real feedback
Largest impact on people and processes delivered next to give maximum time for any needed iterations based on real feedback
Largest ROI to the client organization so maximum benefit can be realized in the fastest possible cycle time.
Include ongoing maintenance plan for after project plan is fully executed
Review project plan with client to validate assumptions and understandings
Finalize initial draft of project plan. Plan can and often will be adjusted as the real feedback from ongoing deployment is processed
The finalized draft is referred to as a
Statement of Implementation (SOI)
and includes the project plan and ongoing maintenance plan.
Step 3B: Execute Project Plan
Execute the project plan with engineering competency and diligence
Demonstrate functionality with each delivery
Receive real feedback from client deployments
Process real feedback and adjust project plan / design / implementation with client input as needed
Ensure all deliverables full satisfied
Validate proper end-to-end operation
Step 3C: Execute Ongoing Maintenance Plan
Adjust maintenance plan as needed with client feedback
Formally enter maintenance plan as per agreement
Adjust maintenance plan as needed with client feedback
The Statement of Implementation will be signed off upon at the end of Step 3A, and will contain the fee schedule.
